Unique operation on delivery of 6 tows is successfully finished by the specialized vessels Heavy Lift

Unique operation on delivery of 6 tows from the port St. Petersburg into Vladivostok port for needs of the Pacific Fleet of the Navy of the Russian Federation is successfully finished by the specialized vessels Heavy Lift.

In December, 2013 Vladivostokvneshtrans Forwarding Co. LTD organized raid unloading of 6 tows brought from the port of St. Petersburg to Vladivostok port. Tows are constructed on Leningradsky shipbuilding plant "PELLA" for needs of the Pacific Fleet of the Navy of the Russian Federation.

On October 24, 2013 six tows were shipped aboard the specialized vessel HHL Lagos of the Hansa Heavy Lift company (Germany) which delivered them the Northern Sea Route to Vladivostok. Loading lasted more than a week. Delivery run lasted 30 days.

Six tows, namely two sea tows of the MB-92 and MB-93 PE-65 project (p. No. No. 503, 504) and four tows of the project 16609 "RB-402", "RB-403", "RB-404" and "RB-405" (p. No. No. 621, 622, 623, 624) are constructed on JSC Pella in 2013. Until the end of 2013 vessels will be put into operation as a part of the Pacific Fleet of the Navy of the Russian Federation.

Gross weight of six tows made 3000 tons. For loading of tows from water of “Pella” made special load gripping adaptations which fastenings under water were made by divers, and fastenings of tows on the deck of the vessel it was carried out by means of special metal designs on which production 200 tons of metal left.

Vessels are intended for performance towing operations in port, on the raids and coastal areas corresponding to the navigation area of R2 (swimming in sea areas with removal from a shelter place no more than 100 miles), carrying out escort operations at a speed up to 10 knots, removals from a bank of the ships and vessels, suppressions of the fires on floating objects and coastal constructions, participations in operations LARNE, transportation of goods, ice withdrawal pains, and also for participation in rescue and special operations.
